3. How to judge the quality of faux reed thatch:

In the market, there are lots of different quality level products. There are some methods to judge the thatch roof quality:

◭ Smell

The recycled materials have a slight unpleasant smell.

◭ Tear

Bad quality thatch materials are easier to tear sometimes.

◭ Watch

If you cut the cross-section of the thatch strip materials and use magnifier to watch, and if you find the cavity structure, it means the production adopts the foaming process, which may cause easy decay for the thatch roof materials.

◭ Putting them under the sun

If you have enough time for test, you could put them outdoor under the sun for several months, some poor-quality products will decay within half a year or even 1-2 months. No matter how, 1- or 2- month's sunshine will make them change so that you could observe.

◭ UV-proof accelerated test equipment

For poor quality thatch products, they will decay in about 2 weeks under the test by UV-proof accelerated test.
